Our Teachers

Our teachers at Music Together in Harmony are passionate about music - and, more importantly, about supporting your child's musical journey. During their classes, they create a fun, informal, musically rich social setting that supports the varied learning styles of both children and adults. All of our teachers have successfully completed the three-day Music Together Teacher Training developed by the Centre for Music and Young Children in Princeton, New Jersey. Music Together teachers are specially trained in creating a relaxed, playful, non-performance-orientated setting, which facilitates both the children's learning and their adults' participation.

Music Together Certification Level 1

Sarah fell in love with the Music Together program back in 2009 when she took her 9 month old son along to a class in San Francisco. She was impressed with the quality and variety of the music - she didn't mind listening to the songs over and over again! In fact she had so much fun and felt so energized by the weekly experience that she decided to follow her instincts and become a Music Together teacher.

Sarah is passionate about the philosophy, the music and the research-based program that Music Together offers. She loves how creating music never fails to lift her spirits and especially loves the community group experience the program facilitates.

Sarah looks forward to meeting you and your children, and sharing precious music making moments together.

Amy came to Music Together as a parent in 2023 with her 1.5  year old daughter. She quickly found that weekly Music Together classes were a space for enjoying her own musical creativity as well as having fun and connecting with her child and other families. Her love and appreciation for Music Together's research-based program has only grown since completing the teacher training, in particular, that children are experiencing music-making in a very natural way through the adults around them.

Amy is a lifelong music-lover: from early memories of her music teacher mother teaching piano at home, school choir and singing on long car rides, to learning swing dancing as an adult and attending music events around the world while working overseas as an engineer (USA, Korea, Canada). She is passionate about live music and loves to seek out music and cultural events whenever possible to enjoy with family and friends.

Amy loves connecting with other parents and their children, and sharing the joy of making music together.
