I have had a number of inquires about what Covid 19 guidelines Music Together with Sarah will be running with this term and I'm guessing a number of you have been wondering about that too. I have been watching the changing government requirements and also waiting for guidelines from these. I have also contacted the WA Covid helpline to clarify. I thank you for your patience whilst I have been considering all of this.
So the following guidelines I am setting for the classes is based on what I currently know now but it may change as the Covid 19 environment in Perth changes.
Some families have asked if I can guarantee that the classes will be attended by vaccinated adults only . I can't guarantee this as I am not able to ask to see proof of vaccination at all of our venues.
I am however stating that my preference as a business owner of classes for children for 0-5 years and their families .... is that only vaccinated adults attend the classes ( ie. 16 years and over).
If you are not vaccinated I would prefer that you do not attend the classes.*
If you need to bring an older sibling(ie. 5-16yrs) for class during the term, I would also prefer that they are vaccinated too.
* (Proof of vaccination will be required at our Scarborough and Cottesloe venues as per the City of Stirling and Town of Cottesloe venue hire requirements.)
I realise that my decision on this matter may not be complementary to your own perspective on things and I am sorry about that. This is a decision I have thought about deeply and is based on a number of considerations; for the young children, their families, my teachers and their families and for the greater community as a whole.
Families can you please bring:
- a rug or blanket to sit on to help us all to social distance as best we can
- your own scarves ( ie a square piece of material about 30cmx 30cm give or take). This is one of the props/instruments that we cant disinfect between classes.
- face masks for anyone over 12yrs.
Cancellation of classes:
I have had some inquiries regarding the event of a teacher being a close contact of someone with Covid 19.
If this should happen I will endeavour to find a substitue teacher for her classes.
But if I cant offer one and/or the postive case occured during a class, then we will offer a 45 minute Zoom class instead.
We are so looking forward to making music with you and your loved ones!
Warmly,
Music Together with Sarah
